The 2013 DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is a multi-day, free, outdoor music festival in downtown Wilmington. This festival has been the festival to hear artists perform some of Clifford’s work.
2013 marks the 25th year of the festival the after-parties and additional celebrations lined up, this years jazz festival plans to be a great year for festival attendees!

Past festival patrons have heard the classic “I Remember Clifford” by Benny Golson, originally penned as a remembrance of his friend. Artists like Chic Corea, Jerry Gonzalez, Pete Escovedo and his orchestra, KEM, Odean Pope Saxophone Choir, Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band, HIROMI, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jonathan Butler, and TAKE 6 have all performed here. The DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is our tribute to this great man and a way to keep his memory alive. 2008 marked the twentieth year of a multi-day jazz festival in downtown Wilmington, and since its inception in 1989 we have worked hard to bring world-class musicians to Wilmington in the month of June.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Clifford’s birth (he was born on October 30, 1930), the State of Delaware created an historic landmark in Wilmington.
